Sample Rubrics for Papers

  • Soc 1 Grading Rubric - Analytic Paper with Participant Observation Component: Very nice rubric designed for Assignment 1 of Swidler’s Soc 1, where students need to integrate participant observation with course materials.  Could easily be adapted to grade many types of sociology papers for students of all levels.
  • Soc 1 Grading Rubric - Analytic Paper with Interviewing Component: Similar to the rubric above, tailored to Assignment 2, where students integrated interview materials with course concepts.
